The Johnny Sticker Code: Why I Only Tag What’s Already Been Tagged

Johnny Stickers

If you made it here from the QR code — welcome.
I’m Johnny, and this is Johnny on Film — a place for local stories, stick tosses, live music, and strange little moments caught on camera right here in London, Ontario.

This city’s known for its graffiti — from alleyway murals to the goofy, trollish tags that pop up under bridges and behind benches. Some of it’s art. Some of it’s… let’s say, more freestyle. I’m not here to wreck the vibe — just add to it, in my own way.

Prey 4 Mantice

You might’ve seen one of my stickers in a park. I only place them beside graffiti that’s already there — never on trees, signs, trail maps, clean benches, or memorial benches. If the spot’s already been tagged or spammed up with nonsense, I figure it’s fair game to gently add my little invite to something better.

But if it’s a mural, a tribute, or anything that feels like someone’s proud moment — no Johnny sticker goes there. That ain’t the energy. RIP Brian V Phillips we did a little RIP prayer for you on the way by and kept your area clean.

RIP Brian V Phillips

We dont stick them on community murals either even tho somebody else ruined it we didnt

Chrysler Canada Greenway bike/walk trail,

This project isn’t about marking territory. It’s about creating a breadcrumb trail to stories, music, and moments you might not have found otherwise. A way to make the weird and wonderful parts of London feel a little more connected.

So thanks for scanning — now go explore. I’ll be somewhere nearby with a camera, a guitar, or a stick in hand.

UPDATE: Emily had the fun idea to set them around like below Instead that Started AUG 2025

⚠️ Disclaimer

The stickers featured on this page are placed only in areas where markings or graffiti already exist, and never on clean surfaces, public signage, memorials, or artwork. As of Aug 2025 We only place rocks around and never stick stickers on anything.

I do not encourage vandalism or illegal activity. This is part of a creative project meant to share stories and connect people through public spaces that already show signs of previous tagging or use. If you’re a property owner and want something removed, please contact me and I’ll happily take it down.

We occasionally give out stickers to the public. While we’re responsible for the ones we personally place, we can’t control where others might choose to put theirs. Please know that any sticker found in an unintended or inappropriate location may not have come from us directly.
